10 Ways to Get Involved

Whether you're an individual, family, business, school, restaurant, community group or council, there's so many ways for you to get involved this Earth Hour.

1. Switch Off

Switch off your lights during Earth Hour and tell the world by adding your picture or logo to our the Earth Hour wall of fame here.

2. Host an event

Host and organise an Earth Hour event in a place that you love. Whether it be a community garden, national park, your local beach, river or balcony, celebrate Earth Hour in a place that is special to you and your community.
Want to do something smaller? Invite your friends & family over for a candlelit dinner in your home or backyard. Register your event here.


3. Attend an event

4. Tune In

Watch the Earth Hour Documentary by tuning in to Channel 10 on Earth Hour night (Saturday 19 March), or if you’ve registered to host an event, we’ll send you a unique download link so you can screen the documentary at your event. Find out more about the documentary here.

5. Get Social

This Earth Hour amplify your impact on social media, in more ways than one! Sign up to Donate Your Feed to Earth Hour and update your Facebook profile picture to use the Earth Hour filter here.

6. Enter & Win

We believe Malcolm Turnbull cares about the environment, but since becoming Prime Minister he hasn't done enough to show us where he stands on climate change. So we're calling on him to show every Australian that he's committed to clean energy future by tweeting a pic of his lights switched off for Earth Hour.
