My Earth Hour Challenge 60!

Australia’s wildlife is struggling—bushfires and storms have destroyed habitats, leaving countless animals vulnerable and I feel compelled to do my part to help.

For Earth Hour Challenge 60, I’m getting active for 60 minutes a day to raise funds for animals affected by these disasters and to support efforts to restore nature. Every effort, big or small, helps protect the planet we all call home.

Earth Hour in Australia is held on Saturday, March 22nd at 8:30pm. Millions of people will switch off their lights to demonstrate their support of the environment.

If you’d like to support me, please consider donating. Your support helps protect and regenerate nature. By donating, you're not just helping one animal, you're helping an entire ecosystem recover. Together, we can make a real difference in securing a safer, healthier future for wildlife animals across Australia.

My Updates

Day 5 🧘🏼‍♀️

Wednesday 5th Mar
Today was a mix of 40 mins of yoga & 30 mins of walking 🚶🏼‍♀️
My body was craving something more restorative. Yoga was perfect to stretch out and release any tension.
With a mixture of walking it gave me the chance to be present, soak in my surroundings and appreciate this challenge for what it is. Time dedicated to movement, nature and a cause that matters. 🌳
Ready for day 6 😊

Day 4! 🏊🏻‍♀️👙

Tuesday 4th Mar
Today I split my time between walking followed by a 30 minutes of swim outside! 🏊🏻‍♀️
Swimming was a game changer. It felt like more of a reset than a workout, giving my muscles a break from more impactful workouts. Movement doesn't always have to be high intensity to be effective 😊

Day 3 in the bag 💼

Monday 3rd Mar
Today's session was a mixture of endurance. 40 min treadmill running, 30 minute between elliptical and bike. My cool down walk home turned into a little Aussie wildlife encounter. 3 kangaroos were bouncing across the road infront of me, just another reminder how special this place is and why I'm doing this challenge. Another day down and another day closer to earth hour 🌏🌱

Day 2 ✅

Sunday 2nd Mar
Today was a scorcher- 39 degrees! Definitely not ideal for getting active, but I still got it done.
I went for a 35 min walk followed by 30 mins Pilates outside shaded under the grapevines. It was still warm, but watching the birds land on the branches above me and the sun shine through the leaves while I moved was really relaxing.
This challenge is making me appreciate the little things and being more aware of all the nature around us.
On to day 3!!

Day 1 Complete!

Saturday 1st Mar

Day 1 of my Earth Hour Challenge 60 is complete! I kicked off my 60-minute-a-day movement goal with a 6.27km walk, and it felt great to get started.

I'm doing this challenge to raise funds for animals affected by bushfires and weather condition's in Australia, and knowing that each step is making a difference keeps me motivated.

If you would like to support my challenge and help protect wildlife, you can donate through my link. Every little bit counts!

On to day 2!
